The Nanaimo Chapter of the Vintage Car Club of Canada
August 2017 Camp Out at Living Forest Campground

5th Annual Club Campout

Our club campout started with 12 couples but Bob and Nesta McGraw had engine trouble
on the way down from Port Alberni and could not join for the weekend.

Friday night we had a meet and greet with a cheese and cracker tray
donated by Country Grocer in Chase River.

Saturday our members had a leisurely tour to Genoa Bay where we had a wonderful lunch at the Genoa Bay Cafe,
and then we stopped at Chemainus for ice cream.
Dinner was pot luck with Country Grocer also chipping in
and then a nice evening by the propane campfire, about 35 in attendance.

Sunday morning was a pancake and sausage breakfast. Some packed up and others stayed for a 3rd night.
That evening we had an education on wolfs and their population in BC by the Swell Education Centre.

Pat and Ken Haugan won the 2 night free camping donated by the Living Forest Campsite.

A special thank you to Ray for the help with the food again this year
and everyone else for the help in making this year another successful campout.

For next year we have reserved Aug 24, 25 & 26 at Living Forest for
our 6th annual campout so mark your 2018 calendars.

Thank you again from Pattie and Steve and hope to see you all camping again next year.
